Impact collaborated with the George Washington University-Milken Institute School of Public Health on a research project funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) seeking to increase Medicaid enrollment of eligible individuals in traditionally underserved communities. As part of this effort, Impact launched a Washington, DC-wide campaign to increase awareness about covered preventive health services and improve screening rates in the District. Impact developed informational tri-folds in English and Spanish that were placed in every new Medicaid and Medicare welcome packet in Washington, DC. We also provided training support to street outreach workers and telephone scripts to call center personnel; drafted messaging for the provider community; conducted website, communication, and social media advisement; designed informational brochures, flyers, and training and event materials; and provided recommendations for media outreach and targeted placements.
